this summer has been full of the most tragic ups and downs i've ever had. and it has NOT been fun.

i was excited! a vacation to solvang! hanging out with friends! getting my license!!

but to every overly awesome moment there is something to balance it out....

my best friend was going to start college at the end of summer but in montana. id miss her but i knew she's keep in touch. so i knew i wasn't really loosing her.


i was excited to start summer session for drumline because its the start of a new season and year!!
but..a few days before, i recieved a text. and a call from our old section leader who just graduated... saying that our drum instructor, and very very dear friend of ours had unexpectedly died of a heart attack while coming home from a performance. Mike Alarcon, more like the uncle who spoiled you, not with material things but with the encouragement and love you needed to get through everything. May you rest in piece and know that the line will NEVER forget you and all of the things you have taught us. we WONT let you down this year. we WILL make you proud. it doesn't feel like he's really gone. it feels like....he'll just waltz right into the band room and start telling us something random, then start yelling at us to learn our music. i have this strange feeling like....he'll just....walk in..and life will continue on....i'm still wanting to walk down the band room hallway to sixth period yelling "HEY MIKE! HI MIKE! HEYHEYHEYHEYHEYHEYHEY!!!!" before i was even in the room...but...i know that he won't be there...and that it will just upset everyone..

it hit is all REALLY hard....we had no idea....
we always joked how he would live forever, because we said his first pet was a dinosaur and that he was friends with jesus....

i think this was the worst way to start off my senior year....

not only that...but the day after the forth...we got a call....saying our (me and armadria's ) aunt had passed away from cancer....the whole family thought she was going to pull through..she seemed fine at christmas.....

what i'm worried about is her husband and daughter...david isnt taking it well...and megan is hardly 7 years old....

i'm sensing....that this is going to be a tough year...for everyone....

may God help us tough it out...
cause its gonna be rough...
